My church is getting a new pastor. What’s going to happen to our insurance and pension bills?
District offices report appointment and compensation changes to the Conference. If you don’t know what your new pastor’s compensation package is, then you can find out by contacting your District office. The Conference Benefits Team makes the changes in our billing systems. You should see your new pastor’s name and charges starting with the bill for the first month of their new appointment (July in the case of the new appointment year).
The church treasurer should compare the pension bills from the NC Conference to the Clergy Compensation Worksheet and Contributions Agreement to the United Methodist Personal Investment Plan provided by the new pastor. To find out the amount of your insurance bill contact a member of the Benefits Team at firstname.lastname@example.org. Any billing discrepancies should be reported immediately to the Benefits Team.
