Leadership Opportunities

Conference Council on Youth Ministries (CCYM) is made up of about 70 youth from all over the NC Conference, with representatives of every District, as well as the Officers, CYC, and District Youth Coordinators. This group meets twice each school year and oversees all youth ministry in the North Carolina Conference. They are elected through District Caucuses during Summer Breakaway for the upcoming year.

Conference Youth Committee (CYC) is the 23-member planning committee for our Conference Youth Events throughout the year (for Pilgrimage, Youth In Unity, Kaleidoscope, Global Vision, and Summer Breakaway). These students help choose the themes of the events at a retreat in August, as well as becoming the Design Teams that plan the events throughout the year, and serving as youth staff members of the events themselves. They are elected at Kaleidoscope and Breakaway after completing the leadership application. This year the application and pastor’s recommendation are both due no later than noon on Tuesday, June 25.
