Rotifunk is a town of 6 million people in Sierra Leone in Africa. Sierra Leone is one of the poorest countries in the world and is in great need of improvements to its heathcare facilities and resources.
The “Mission of Hope” in Rotifunk is a partnership between the North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist church and the Sierra Leon Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church to provide quality healthcare to the impoverished people of Sierra Leone, with a particular focus on those living in and around the town of Rotifunk. Since December 2013, much has been done, including the partial refurbishment of the Rotifunk hospital, but there is still much to do.
