Sound District: Basic Course in Lay Servant Ministries
Cherry Point UMC 103 Methodist Drive, Havelock, North CarolinaThis course is open to all laity and is a great way to learn about the many ways laity can answer their call to ministry in the UMC. This course is required for all laity seeking certification as a lay servant, lay speaker, or lay minister. Participants choose whether to join in person or online.

Living Our United Methodist Beliefs (UM History) on Zoom
This course is open to all laity. In addition, it meets the UM History requirement for those seeking to become certified lay speakers or certified lay ministers. This course also counts as an "advanced course" for certified lay servants or anyone in need of continuing education to renew their certification.

This course is open to all laity. In addition, it meets the UM History requirement for those seeking to become certified lay speakers or certified lay ministers. This course also counts as an "advanced course" for certified lay servants or anyone in need of continuing education to renew their certification.

Corridor District: Soul Reset

It can also count as the advanced course requirement for becoming a certified lay servant.

In addition, it meets the spiritual gifts requirement to become a certified lay speaker. It also counts as an advanced course toward becoming a certified lay servant or renewing any of the Lay Servant Ministry certifications.
