The North Carolina Conference Missions Team will send items over to Project AGAPE in Armenia in late November 2022. Project AGAPE has new headquarters in Vayk, Armenia, and is ministering to persons who have lost their homes due to the recent conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
We need a concerted effort to help those refugees by continuing to donate to Project AGAPE. There are also items not readily available in the part of Armenia that we want to send in the shipment at the request of our in-country manager, Nara Melkonyan. The items include:
- Christmas boxes for children and youth
- Pots and pans
- Comforters
- New shoes (old shoes, no matter the condition, cannot be shipped)
- New clothing for young teens (old clothes cannot be shipped)
- Sheets, towels, and other similar items
- Menstrual hygiene kits
- Health kits (no toothpaste)
All items need to be delivered to MERCI, 676 Community Drive, Goldsboro, NC. Although MERCI is open most days from 9 am – 4 pm, items can be left in the shed outside the gate, and workers will pick up the items soon after. Volunteer workdays will be established from September through November. Visit the Outreach Ministry website for the latest updates.
