NC Conference

- In a ruling published on December 12, the Judicial Council, the United Methodist Church’s highest court, has ruled that no new delegate elections are needed for the upcoming General Conference in 2024. Read the full story from UM News and read the full text of the Judicial Council’s ruling.

New Faith Communities

Office of Clergy Life
- The Office of Clergy Life provided Residents in Ordained Ministry an opportunity to learn from the Race Equity Institute (REI). The REI Phase I workshop presents a historical, cultural, structural, and institutional analysis over 2 days. With a clear understanding of how institutions and systems are producing unjust and inequitable outcomes, participants in Phase I are able to begin a journey to work toward social transformation and racial justice.
Outreach Ministry
- Disaster Ministries worked with churches in Moore County to supply generators, solar power trailers, a shower trailer, and laundry trailer after thousands of households were without electric power.
- The Health Ministry Team shared COVID-19 updates.
- Volunteers met at MERCI to pack Christmas boxes for Project AGAPE.
Youth Ministry
- Youth from across the Conference led a Service of Lament and Hope on December 15.
