Envision an opportunity for clergy and laity pairs to be an intentional community engaging in conversation about practical church strategies and understanding the ways that relational leadership skills are critical to a healthy congregational future. The Leadership Fellows Program dedicates itself to this vision.
Since 2011, the Leadership Fellows program has welcomed cohorts of clergy and laity pairs who have covenanted together and journeyed through this two-year curriculum, each person working with an individual coach to help process creative ideas and reactions to the material.
This year, we are announcing a new timeline. Instead of beginning their two-year commitment in January, our next cohort will begin in the fall, with a brief orientation in August and the first session in September. This means our new cohort will follow the appointment cycle, thus reducing the number of times clergy might be reappointed during the two-year commitment.
Clergy or laity who are interested in being a part of this next cohort should reach out to Leah Wiebe-Smith (lwiebesmith@nccumc.org). The deadline to indicate interest in applying is June 7. The application deadline will be August 2.
