Have you ever wondered about the difference between a certified lay servant, certified lay speaker, and certified lay minister? Do you feel a nudge to do more, but aren’t sure where you fit?
Your Lay Servant Ministries team invites you to join us for a Day of Discovery—a time to explore the many ways laity can answer their call in the United Methodist Church. Whether you’re just beginning to sense God’s call or actively seeking your next step, this day is for you.
Saturday, May 2, 10am–1pm
NC Conference Building, Garner
$15 (includes lunch)
Optional information session on the 2026-2027 Certified Lay Ministry Candidate Training Program: 1pm–2pm
We strongly encourage in-person participation for the full experience of worship, conversation, and discernment. If you are unable to travel to Garner, a shorter Zoom session will be offered on May 14, 6:30–8pm.
This event is open to all United Methodist laity in the NC Conference. There’s no pressure—just space to listen, learn, and take the next faithful step. Whether you’re feeling a gentle nudge or a clear call, we hope you’ll join us for this time of discovery and discernment.
