Certified lay ministers (CLMs) are laity who have answered God’s call on their life through a concrete and long-term commitment to the local church. Some CLMs serve as lay pastors of congregations. Others engage in specific ministry projects in their own local church. All CLMs work as part of a ministry team and under the direct supervision of an ordained pastor. 

Interested in learning more? We invite you to join us for a Day of Discovery, July 15, 10am-3pm, at the NC Conference Center in Garner. We’ll share about the year-long training program and what it means to be a certified lay minister in our conference. Registration is open until July 8, and lunch is provided.
