Peace Conference 2025
April 4 – April 6
Join us April 4-6, 2025 at beautiful Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center for the launch of the re-envisioned SEJ Peace Conference at Lake Junaluska. We will gather as clergy and laity of all ages to fellowship, dialogue and learn with renowned peacebuilders. Through three days of worship, interactive plenaries, workshops, hands-on shalom experiences, film screenings, and informal conversation, we will share strategies and hopes of how we, as people of faith, can build bridges of peace across political, theological, and social divides.
This year’s theme, Breaking Down the Dividing Walls, acknowledges that although we are surrounded by escalating divisions and violence, our differences are not what divide us. Our hostility toward others does (Ephesians 2:11-14).
We will learn from front-line peace practitioners how to confront systems and patterns that divide us and how to engage practices that can heal us. Further, we will learn how to put peace into action through hands-on workshop leaders who will teach us about skills, practices, and organizing that can heal and restore our communities.
Scholarships for youth and young adults are also available as we commit to developing new leaders for sustainable peace building for generations to come.
