In 2022, we began a monthly series to keep everyone up-to-date about the happenings all across the NC Conference offices and committees.
Here’s an overview from 2022:
- Bishop Connie Mitchell Shelton was assigned as the NC Conference episcopal leader.
- United Methodists from the NC Conference shared their gratitude for Bishop Fairley, his wife Dawn, and their shared ministry life with us. Watch the video and share your words of gratitude.
- We updated our website with a fresh new look! Learn more about the update.
- We published 454 posts on our website and 126 videos.
- We sent 757 emails to our NC Conference subscribers about news, updates, and events.
- Zoom users in our NC Conference account hosted 15,380 meetings/webinars, with 111,984 participants, totaling 6,149,685 minutes.
- Two New Faith Communities and The United Methodist Collective were established in 2022.
- Trained and certified 8 new certified lay ministers who are now serving as lay pastors or in other ministry roles in United Methodist congregations.
- 1,382 resources were borrowed from the NC Conference Media Center.
- 2,280 people registered for events hosted by the Center for Leadership Excellence.
- 166 people attended Early Response Team Training to learn how United Methodists are involved during a disaster, how we prepare for a disaster, and what we can do when disaster strikes.
- The NC Conference awarded 331 grants and scholarships, a total amount of $2,031,533.77 given, in 2022.
