Praying Their Way: Exploring New Ways to Introduce Middle-Grade Kids to Prayer
The Center for Leadership Excellence presents a webinar with Roger Owens…
March 25 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
About the Webinar
Children have a natural curiosity about God and an innate draw towards mystery. As they grow, kids ask bigger, more complex spiritual questions, and they need guides to help them explore their budding faith lives. Frustratingly, many of us lack the confidence or skills to talk to kids about prayer. We need resources to help us help them pray, in their own words and on their terms.
This webinar is for children’s ministers, parents, grandparents, Sunday school teachers, and anyone who wants to help children learn that prayer is more than sitting quietly with hands folded in your lap. Drawing on his newest book, co-written with his teenage daughter, Roger Owens will offer practical guidance for talking with children about prayer and for helping kids and tweens discover a rich prayer life of their own.
Aimed toward middle-grade kids (ages 10-14), the forms of prayer Owens teaches have wider applicability. Some can be adapted for the youngest children, and many offer strong entry points for teens and adults seeking fresh ways to connect with God.
Whether you work directly with kids or want to better equip those in your pews who do, join us for this engaging webinar on how to teach children to pray.
