These are very dear and touching times, during these COVID days, especially for those dealing with personal grief. How timely may this be for us to explore and share about our grief with others who are also grieving!
We will be sharing a Book Study together based on the text, “Understanding Your Grief: Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope and Healing Your Heart”, by Alan D. Wolfelt, PhD. author, educator and grief counselor, Dr Wolfelt is known across North America for his compassionate messages about healing in grief. Recipient of the Association of Death Education and Counseling’s Death Educator Award, he serves as Director of the Center for Loss and Life Transition in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Together we will grow through our own insights and those of Dr Wolfelt and our classmates. We will come to a renewed realization and conviction that we can and will become “reconciled” in our grieving even if this cannot be “resolved”.
Our book study will include one live meeting time each week on Thursday night at 7:00 pm (EST). Besides interacting with one another through regular discussions on Blackboard we will also meet “face-to-face” through our online Zoom meetings each Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. (EST). Your participation in these scheduled meetings is pertinent to the course; please mark your calendar and plan to attend. Information on how to access Zoom will be given in the Blackboard course site.
