Coffee Chat: “Advocates for Inclusiveness” (General Commission on the Status and Role of Women)

Join us January 23 at 11:30 a.m. ET/10:30 a.m. CT/8:30 a.m. PT as we spotlight a new publication from Cokesbury, Advocates for Inclusiveness: Value and Empower Persons for Full Participation in Church and Community. This resource serves as a tool to help us build a church community that values and empowers all people. We are honored to have Rev. Meg Lassiat of the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women (GCSRW), and Rev. Justin Hancock of the United Methodist Church on Disability Ministries Committee (UMCDMC), lead the conversation. They will emphasize the importance of ratifying Paragraph 4, Article 4, which adds “gender” and “abilities” to the United Methodist Constitution. Together, they will explore what belonging means and how making space at the table is our response to God’s calling on our lives.
