About the Day:
There is a difference between change and transition. While change may be a given, transition is not. Change is external and happens to us. It can be intentional or unexpected, in or out of our control. Transition is what we do when we experience change.
In this session, we discussed the unique challenges of leading people through a season of transition during seasons of great change. Drawing on the Exodus story, Matt outlined the stages of transition, paired with practical leadership tools to use in our church.
- three stages of leading people through transition
- the dangers and pitfalls in each stage
- leadership tools required to lead people through change
- practical insights, questions, and conversations that you can begin using in your church right now
- how COVID provides us with a unique challenge and opportunity to lead needed change in our context
