Recent heavy rains and flash flooding have caused significant damage in parts of our Conference, including Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Durham, and Orange Counties. Homes, churches, and neighborhoods face cleanup and recovery.
Our Early Response Teams (ERT) have been actively working at Saxapahaw UMC and the parsonage to help remove debris and muck out areas following severe flooding. We need ERT-led teams and ERT Site Evaluators to assist at the church and the surrounding communities. Teams will be working at the church on Wednesday, July 16, Thursday, July 17, and Saturday, July 19, beginning at 8:30 am.
