Nara Melkonyan, Director of Project AGAPE in Armenia, will be coming to the North Carolina Conference to visit Churches between October 1 and October 17, 2023.
For this year’s visit, we want to reduce her travelling by placing her in particular geographic areas for periods of time. During those times, you may want to have some shared District or sub-district events. Some Churches may want to pack their Christmas boxes with her while she is present (the October 1 deadline for having the boxes at MERCI will be extended in those cases).
Nara has been booked by Project AGAPE Board Members for each Sunday during this itineration, but there will be opportunities for Nara to be booked by persons in the Fairway and Gateway Districts between the evenings of October 1-4. She will be in the Harbor District from October 6-10. Nara will be available to visit Churches in the Sound, Beacon, and Capitol Districts from October 11-13. And, finally, Nara will be in Durham and the Corridor District from October 14-17.
On October 21 at 11:00 AM, both the Western North Carolina Annual Conference and the North Carolina Conference will host a 30-year Anniversary Celebration of Project Agape at Mt. Pleasant UMC near Greensboro. More details about that event, which will include lunch and presentations, will be forthcoming.
To schedule Nara at your particular Church or at a gathering of Churches, contact the Reverend Bill Haddock (revbillh@nccumc.org ) or by cell at 910-262-3831.
