Project Agape Humanitarian Aid
After the last war between Armenia and Azerbaijan ended in December 2020, Project Agape abandoned their headquarters in Berdzor and moved to Vayk in Armenia. While transitioning to its new place, Project Agape employees and volunteers began to reach out to persons who had been forced out of their homes during the war. The basic humanitarian needs were overwhelming, but Project Agape has been able to offer some hope to families who were displaced.
Although several containers filled with humanitarian aid have now been sent to Armenia this year already, we anticipate that there will be a need to send other containers to help people as they resettle in new places. Welcome Home Kits are also needed and appreciated.
Among items that are needed are
–new shoes
–sewing supplies (including any length of cloth)
–school supplies
–pots, pans, dishes and other supplies for kitchens
–comforters, sleeping bags, pillows, sheets
–Christmas boxes (see what needs to go into these boxes, For Girls For Boys
All items need to be placed in boxes and packed tightly with similar items. Mark on the outside of the box what is inside of it. Items need to be delivered to the MERCI Center in Goldsboro.
