Project AGAPE has been an important ministry between the Armenian people and the two United Methodist Conferences in North Carolina for about 30 years. Nara Melkonyan and her family have been the face of Project AGAPE in Nagorno-Karabakh and Vayk for most of that time. She and her staff have received and distributed aid from our state for years. In addition to humanitarian assistance, Nara has led many ministries that seek to teach self-dependency to people who have been displaced due to war.

Nara Melkonyan will be visiting Eastern North Carolina from May 21 to June 18, 2026. The Project AGAPE Board desires that Nara be invited to as many churches and church groups as possible while she is in our area. To schedule Nara at your church, please call Rev.
