NC Conference
- The June Monthly Resource Flyer centered on leadership. View the flyer.
- Annual Conference 2024 was held June 13-15 in Greenville, NC. View updates, photos of conference, and watch the sessions.
Center for Leadership Excellence
- Registration opened for “Community Safety Through Safe Storage,” a webinar on safe firearm storage and violence prevention.
- Registration opened for “Understanding Trauma and Cultivating Compassion in Faith Communities.”
- Hosted “Christian Unity in a World of Disunity,” a webinar discussing why and how we are called to Christian unity and to interreligious hospitality.
Christian Formation
- The Safe Sanctuaries team hosted a workshop and Q&A session centered on summer programs, vacation Bible school, and camps.
Laity Ministries
- United Women in Faith groups across the conference participated in Move 4 Mission, a national initiative of the United Women in Faith organization.
- Lay Servant Ministries hosted a Day of Discovery for those discerning a call to certified lay ministry.
Media Center
Outreach Ministry
- Disaster Ministries shared ways churches can prepare for the 2024 hurricane season and extreme heat. View more resources for hurricane season.
- Hebron UMC received the 2024 Key Taylor Award.
- Disaster Ministries hosted an Early Response Team Training on June 29. View upcoming courses or schedule a training at your church.
- Creation Care hosted district trainings in the Corridor and Heritage districts.
Treasurer’s Office
- Registration opened for a webinar discussing trends in property insurance on July 18.
Youth Ministry
- Middle and high school youth gathered June 24-29 for Breakaway at NC Wesleyan University.
