$ Sacred Companions (NC Institute for Spiritual Direction and Formation)

“Sacred Companions” is a 7-week group study (via Zoom) of the book, of the same name, by David Benner.It is a helpful introduction to the concept and practice of both spiritual friendship and spiritual direction, what each is, and is not. Because we all need companions on our spiritual journey, this book may be helpful for both the person seeking a companion on their journey and the person discerning a call to the ministry of spiritual direction. Our study will be a facilitated weekly study following the chapters in Parts 1 and 2 of the book. The 90 minute sessions will include an opening time of prayer and silence, 10-15 minutes of introduction by the facilitator, small group discussion of the questions at the end of the chapter, and whole group feedback.
It will be important for those attending to attend as many sessions as possible, since each chapter builds on the one before. The cost for the series is $75. Please register no later than January 15th, 2024.
