Sponsored by the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement, the informal, virtual space of the Café facilitates conversation, connection, and community focused on creation care and justice issues.
Join us October 16 for a conversation focused on how United Methodist Seminaries are bringing creation justice, environmental action, and eco-theology into focus in higher education. Our seminaries equip the leaders of our churches and generations of pastoral leaders to be ready to meet the missional imperatives of our time. Hear from Rev. Dr. Mark Davies, who heads up the Higher Ed organizing group for the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement, from Dr. Tim Van Meter, Coordinator for the many Environmental Initiatives and programs both applied and theological at MTSO, from Dr. Rebecca Copeland, focusing on the intersection of religion and ecology at Boston University School of Theology, and Dr. TIm Eberhart, Director of the Center for Ecological Regeneration at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
