Introduction to Lay Servant Ministries – Basic
… is being offered by the Sound District LSM Team. This foundational class is open to anyone who would like to learn the most essential and fundamental information about being a United Methodist. This class is required to become a Certified Lay Servant or Certified Lay Speaker. This class is also suggested for many of the Pathways listed on the Lay Servant Ministry website page.
This course is from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday, August
26, 2023, in a hybrid Zoom/in-person format. Kim Rice Smith, Sound District Conference Lay Leader, will teach the class. The in-person class will be held at Cherry Point United Methodist Church (103 Methodist Drive, Havelock, NC 28532).
The registration fee is $15.00 for the Zoom session or $25.00 for the in-person class, which includes lunch and snacks.
Registration ends August 13th.
The test is Lay Servant Ministries Participant’s Book
by Brian and Sandy Jackson.
The text should be read prior to class.
It is available thru Cokesbury or Amazon for purchase.
