$ Equipping Collaborative Teams with Dr. Rodney Smothers (ClergyEducation.com)

This training aims to redeploy the laity to serve as intentional disciples, not just members of our congregations. Dr. Smothers believes this is which is crucial for the growth of our congregations. A few of the topics Dr. Smothers will discuss include:
- Refocusing out mission and vision statements in the local church
- Creating new structures for healthier outcomes
- Building teams that lead to growing involvement in the church
Dr. Rodney Thomas Smothers serves as a leadership coach and consultant in the areas of new church development and congregational revitalization. He recently coauthored Cry from the Pew: A Call to Action for The United Methodist Church. He previously served as the director of leadership and congregational development on the UMC Baltimore-Washington Conference Executive Leadership Team.
