2022 Critical Issues: The Ties That Bind Our Democracy (NC Council of Churches)

Some have said the foundation of democracy is built on the foundation of God’s divine act of creating humans in God’s Image–Imago Dei. This divine act ensures the uniqueness and value of every single person. By extension, democracies pronounce that every person’s voice matters to create the social fabric needed for democracy to flourish. The ties that bind us together as a democracy require vigilance in order to remain strong. We offer in the 2022 Critical Issues Seminar several important threads to the binding of our democratic way.
