James Rusthoven is a medical oncologist, bioethicist, and Professor emeritus of oncology at McMaster University. He received a Ph.D. in theology from Trinity College University of Bristol, working on expanding a covenantal ethical framework for medicine. Dr. Rusthoven is also a fellow of the Kirby Laing Centre for Public Theology, Cambridge, UK. As a practicing clinician, clinical researcher, and regulatory physician, he has sought to live out his vocational callings in medicine through the lens of his Reformed faith while striving to be a faithful presence with patients, colleagues, and corporate leaders.
