In the month of April, we celebrated the 51st annual Earth Day. This joyous occasion allowed for us to reflect on all the beauties and intricacies of God’s creation, and more specifically, our role within it. Attached below is a brief essay which captures the essence of a personal relationship with nature. While continuing to work on climate change action and environmental issues can be exhausting, it’s refreshing to remember why we first started to care for the Earth. Our memories, experiences, and relationships with the environment can always help inspire us to be better stewards of God’s creation.

What is the Creation Care Moment?
Every month, the NCCUMC Caretakers of God’s Creation Committee will provide a brief snippet of information surrounding sustainability in Connections. The moment will vary from the individual to the global level and seek to provide insight on how to become more aware of sustainability in our world. If you are interested in joining the Caretakers of God’s Creation Committee, please contact Jarrod Davis at jdavis@nccumc.org.
