Dear Lay and Clergy Members of the Annual Conference,
We greet you in the name of Jesus Christ, and we continue to pray for one another and the whole world as this COVID-19 pandemic wears on.
We are making every effort to continue and strengthen our ministry while protecting all our health and well-being. Therefore, the Annual Conference Session will be virtual and interactive, with the opportunity to participate and vote online during the virtual session.
The Committee on Annual Conference Rules and Conference Parliamentarian worked faithfully at the request of Bishop Ward to create rules for the unique 2021 Annual Conference Session in June.
On May 10, 2021, all clergy and lay members will receive an email containing instructions on the voting process at the email address we have on file. Voting on the Conference Rules will begin on May 10, 2021, and will run through May 14, 2021.
Please read and study the Conference Rules before casting your vote online by May 14, 2021. The consideration of the Rules in advance of the June session will help us move through the worship, celebration of mission, and essential business in a timely and efficient manner.
If you are unable to access the website for voting, contact support@nccumc.org.
If you need to update your lay member record(s), visit our Lay Member Change Request form. Lay member changes can be made until June 1, 2021, to allow voting information to be provided to the new lay members. Changes cannot be made after June 1, 2021.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this request for your consideration of the Conference Rules.
Gratefully,
Jerry Bryan
Conference Secretary
