Overall Dean: Julia Royall Johnson

My name is Julia Royall Johnson and I am the Overall Dean for Summer Breakaway 2021. I have been the Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries at Ann Street UMC in Beaufort NC for over 4 years. I live in Beaufort with my husband and our two dogs! We enjoy taking advantage of the beautiful coastal landscape where we live. I serve as the Sound District Youth Coordinator and I have served as a Dean for breakaway in some capacity for the last 3 years. I have worked with NCCUMC Conference Youth events for over 12 years and served in district youth ministry for over 6 years. I love working with youth and children and look forward to continuing to serve our future leaders!
Pastor In Residence: Zack Moser
Zack has served in youth/family ministry for the last 13 years. He is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and a candidate for ordination as a
Deacon in the United Methodist Church, and he is currently the Director of Youth and children’s Ministry at Sudbury UMC in Massachusetts. In
addition to youth ministry, he is passionate about mission work, prison ministry, and Christian education. Prior to attending Duke, Zack completed a MA in Liberal Studies at UNC-Wilmington and a BA in Communication Media at NC State (go Wolfpack). He moved to New England because “I look good in coats,” and has since been warned about vanity.
