The December Youth in Unity gathering has been postponed. We know this is disappointing, and we want to be clear and transparent about what this pause means and how we are moving forward.

This time allows us to step back, listen deeply, and prayerfully discern how Youth in Unity can most faithfully serve our youth in this season. As our new Director of Youth Ministries, Julia Royall Johnson, begins her role on January 1, we will enter an intentional period of discernment with youth, adult leaders, and partners who have been part of Youth in Unity—centering the voices and experiences of our ethnic communities.

Youth in Unity remains important to the North Carolina Conference. Our commitment to creating spaces where young people experience connection, belonging, and leadership development remains unchanged. We are focused on discerning a path forward that is meaningful, sustainable, and shaped by those most impacted.
