Linda is an ordained elder (retired) in the North Carolina Conference. Linda grew up in a small rural area of Western Pennsylvania, the eldest of seven children. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of California, PA. During her undergraduate studies, she served a small rural church as a Part-time Local Pastor from 1984-1988. She moved to Durham, NC, in 1988 to attend Duke University Divinity School. During her studies at Duke, from 1988- 1992, she served as a Student Associate Pastor at St. Paul United Methodist Church on Roxboro Road, Durham, NC, and received a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University Divinity School in Durham, NC.
In 1992, following graduation from Duke, she returned to the Western Pennsylvania Conference and served as Pastor of a 5-point church parish. In 1998, she had the opportunity to return to North Carolina for an appointment as an Ordained Elder in Full Connection. From 1998-2012, she served as Pastor for Devon Park/Oleander Charge, and then as Pastor for Oleander UMC when the church moved to a single appointment. From 2012-2020, she had the joy and honor of serving on the Cabinets of Bishops Gwinn and Ward, including as District Superintendent of the Sound District.
She currently serves as a Part-time Associate with the Conference Church Transformation Ministries. A ministry that gives her the opportunity to work with churches across the North Carolina Conference. When she is not busy with ministry, she enjoys reading, walking, playing racquetball, learning Spanish, tap dancing, and sharing fun and laughter with family and friends.
