The IDI is administered through the Race Equity and Justice Ministries Office (REJM) of the NCCUMC. IDI is a cross-cultural assessment of intercultural competence used by thousands of individuals and organizations to build intercultural competence to achieve international and domestic diversity and inclusion goals and outcomes.
REJM hopes to make taking this assessment easy and reliable. Our commitment is to keep each participant’s information completely confidential.
Until now, the most significant number of requests have been from individuals wanting to gain valuable insight into intercultural competence. That is why we are pleased to receive more requests from teams with the same purpose. This means that we are learning with you to help you and improve the process while we continue serving you.
Follow these steps to complete your IDI team request.
TEAM LEADER – The person responsible for filling the Idi team request.
- Assign a Team Leader:
- Choose a team leader responsible for filling in the IDI team request form.
- The team leader must have all team members’ email addresses and phone numbers.
- To access the FREE IDI Assessment, contact your DS (District Superintendent) and ask for a code.
- Once you’ve received the code, please request your assessment via the following link: https://nccumc.org/rej/idi-request/
- Fill IDI Team Request:
- The assigned team leader fills in the IDI team request form.
- Provide all necessary information and ensure accuracy.
- Within five business days of submitting the request, the team leader will receive the usernames and passwords for all team members and will be responsible for the team’s completion of the assessment.
- Complete IDI Assessments:
- Within 15 days, all team members must complete their IDI assessments.
- Each member should log in using the provided username and password to access the assessment.
- Sign into the IDI Assessment website with the name in the request and the provided username and password. https://idi5.idiassessment.com .
- Please use your name as written in the request. Initials and nicknames make it difficult for the QA (qualified administrator) to figure out to whom it belongs. Be sure not to leave spaces before or after the codes.
- The assessment should be completed in a calm, distraction-free atmosphere, and it should take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
- Ensure Completion:
- Please be sure to submit your assessment after completing it. Otherwise, it will stay active and not be able to be processed.
- A team cannot proceed to the debrief stage until every member with a username and password has taken the IDI assessment.
- Contact by Quality Assurance (QA):
- Once all members have completed the assessments, the team leader will receive an email from the QA team (not the REJM Office) within 7-10 days to schedule a team debriefing session.
- During this period, please check your inbox regularly and your SPAM folder.
- The QA team will coordinate with the team leader to schedule the team debrief session.
- This session provides insights, addresses questions, and facilitates team understanding of the assessment outcomes.
- Team Debrief Session:
- During the debrief session, the QA team will discuss the assessment results with the entire team.
- Follow-Up Actions:
- Based on the debrief session, the team may decide on follow-up actions or strategies to enhance team dynamics, communication, and collaboration
- Feedback and Improvement:
- After the debrief session, teams are encouraged to provide feedback on the process to help improve future assessments and debrief sessions.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Ensure all IDI assessment and debrief session documentation is appropriately recorded and stored for future reference.
Following these instructions will facilitate the IDI team debrief process, enabling smoother communication, understanding, and improvement within the team dynamics.
