We invite you to the Bishop’s Forum on November 15th, where we will discuss the crucial topic of peace and solidarity in Colombia.
Colombia is at a pivotal moment. As the Church, we have a responsibility to promote accountability and ensure a peaceful future.
We will focus on Cauca, a region with a history of resistance spanning over 500 years. Understanding “The Peace That Never Was: The Case of Cauca, Colombia” and the inspiring Campesinx University of Miranda project will deepen our knowledge.
The voices of women social leaders in Cauca, such as Deicy Patricia Carabalí and Ana Delia Candelo, are essential. They emphasize the need for women in decision-making positions and their integral role in territorial resistance.
In this forum, we will discuss the Church’s role in fostering peace, accountability, and solidarity in Colombia. Let us come together, guided by creativity, intelligence, and friendship, to make a positive impact.
As we embark on this journey, let us be reminded of the words from Micah 6:8 (NIV): “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
We look forward to your presence at the Bishop’s Forum on November 15th, where we can learn, grow, and work towards a brighter future.
