The NCCUMC Refugee and Immigration Committee and Hope4Humanity, a UM Deaconess-led ministry, are partnering with BorderLinks to offer in-depth, interactive, virtual immigration workshops. These workshops will focus on immigration and economic policy, border history, privilege, and frameworks for action. The workshops are open to all who would like to see the world in new ways and use the new knowledge gained to make a practical and positive difference in the world.
We will learn the answers to questions like:
· Why do people migrate?
· What happens during the migrant journey?
· How do policies impact people?
June 10, 6:30-8:30 PM
· This is the beginning session where we will meet one another and agree to the standards by which we as participants and leaders will hold each other accountable and show up in the space. It is important for all participants to attend this workshop.
