Here’s an overview of NC Conference events and updates from the month of August.
NC Conference
- The theme for the August Monthly Resource Flyer was discipleship.
- We recently created new email accounts for some Conference and District appointed staff. Read more and update your records.
Center for Leadership Excellence
- Hosted the first webinar in the new series, Church Administration and Leadership. Carl Frazier and Ben Williams led a workshop on contextualizing worship planning.
- Registration opened for a Day of Learning on September 12, during which participants will explore practical trauma interventions and pathways to foster personal and communal healing.
- Registration opened for “Mastering Meeting Dynamics” on October 2.
District Office
- Charge Conference season began. Visit the Charge Conference 2024 page to view the schedule, training videos, and resources.
- Guidelines for Clergy Compesnation for 2025 were sent to Staff/Pastor Parish Releations committees.
Laity Ministries
- Registration opened for the fall quarter Lay Servant Ministries classes.
New Faith Communities
- Church planters gathered on August 1 for a Common Learning Day to learn about ministries and resources in the NC Conference.
Outreach Ministry
- Disaster Ministries shared ways you can prepare for disasters ahead of National Preparedness Month.
- Creation Care Ministries shared upcoming learning opportunities and ways local churches can respond to high heat.
Race Equity & Justice Ministries
- Registration opened for the third H.E.A.R.T. cohort.
