We celebrate the growth of The Gary Wayne Locklear Mission Endowment, which now totals over $1,600,000.
This Endowment seeks to support Christ’s ministry in the North Carolina Conference through new ministries that increase 1) health, wellness, and abundant life, 2) economic resources for fullness of life, 3) education, and 4) spiritual vitality found in Jesus Christ.
This year, our Conference has experienced an abundance of resources made available to churches and communities to mitigate the impacts of the pandemic. Financial assistance has included resources for local mission, as well as assistance for local church expenses, pastor salaries, and pastoral pension and insurance expenses.
Due to this abundance, the Mission Endowment Team has recommended that no funds be drawn from the Endowment in 2021 as the Endowment continues to grow, and to use this growth to support future mission investments.
The Mission Endowment team is also working to make the process of seeking investment funding from this endowment clear and accessible in 2022.
We invite you to generously contribute to the Mission Endowment so that new, vibrant, and exciting mission will flow in eastern North Carolina for many years to come.
