VBS Possibilities for 2021

February 12, 2021 Leave a Comment

As the pandemic situation we will encounter this summer remains uncertain, use these resources in considering what to plan for your church’s Vacation Bible School either in-person or online.

Cokesbury VBS 2021

Cokesbury has a new VBS program for 2021, Discovery on Adventure Island. They are hosting online workshops about this program in February and March. You only need to attend one workshop.

Cokesbury’s previous VBS, Knights of the North Castle is still available and all set to be used virtually or in-person. Another option is the Champions in Life intergenerational VBS that utilizes African American culture, history, music, and art to teach biblical truths.

Three VBS programs also come in a One Room VBS version for churches that have all kids ages 5-12 in one room.

Additional 2021 VBS kits are also available, as well as a VBS comparison chart.

Tips for VBS 2021

The Cokesbury VBS blog has posted some articles to help you in your decision-making regarding VBS 2021.

Navigating VBS 2021 will help you decide whether you should do online or in-person VBS (or both) and how to navigate parents and promotions.

A Guide for Sharing VBS Online explains exactly how you can share Cokesbury VBS videos online (and how you can’t).

Borrow Your VBS

The Media Center has some older VBS kits in our collection that are available for borrowing. We also have two books, The Best VBS Workbook Ever! and Arts Camp that you can use to create your own VBS. View the complete list of Vacation Bible School Resources in our collection. Anyone involved with a United Methodist Church in the North Carolina Conference can request to borrow a resource and receive it in the mail.
