$ Leading Different Generations in One Congregation (ClergyEducation.com)
May 7 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
What if the ancient prophets of Scripture could help us finally understand the generations sitting beside us in the pews?
In Prophet to the Generations, pastor and Bible teacher Michelle J. Morris draws on her experience leading an eight-generation United Methodist congregation to bridge the gap between Isaiah and Instagram, Jeremiah and Boomers, Ezekiel and Millennials, and more. With warmth, clarity, and a pastor’s wit, she pairs each of today’s five central generations with a major biblical prophet, showing how their hopes, wounds, fears, and blind spots often mirror one another in surprising ways.
During this webinar, Michelle will discuss some of the key distinctions among five of our living generations (Silents, Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z). Afterwards, she will discuss ways of bringing those generations together in collective ministry.
Michelle J. Morris is an ordained Elder in the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church and is the Lead Pastor of First United Methodist Church in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. She is the author of Gospel Discipleship: Four Pathways of Christian Discipleship, editor and contributor of More Favorite Sunday School Lessons: Adult Sunday School Lessons by the Clergy of the Arkansas Conference, and is a regular contributor to the Adult Bible Studies Sunday school curriculum.
