Harbor District Lighthouse Churches

As a community of believers in Wilmington, NC, Wesley Memorial is called to share the love of Christ with all people, to serve our neighbors with compassion and justice, and to provide a welcoming and safe environment for spiritual growth and fellowship. We are committed to being a beacon of hope and transformation in our community, and to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ through worship, education, and service. 

Preaching began on our grounds in 1815, with our original Sanctuary being built and consecrated in 1844. Since that time, Wesley Chapel has remained steeped in the Wesleyan tradition of Methodism. Our congregation is led by the Holy Spirit to follow the Greatest Commandment, “To love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and, to love your neighbor as yourself.” Our worship services are open to all – Saints and Sinners – and our congregation is driven by a life of mission that lives outside the walls of our building throughout our community.

SALT is an inclusive Methodist community in Wilmington NC (Monkey Junction Area). We are dedicated to caring for God’s creation. That means caring for the earth and all of its inhabitants. For us, this is about community and how we care for each other, and about how we care for all God has created.

Camp United Methodist Church is a community of faith whose mission is to seek and to serve God by praying, preaching and teaching the Gospel, making disciples and serving others.

Grace UMC is Harbor’s newest chartered church. We worship out of St. Christopher’s Episcopal church. We believe in outreach to the whole community, to everyone.
