The Bishop’s Gun Violence Prevention Task Force seeks to create safer, more peaceful communities throughout the North Carolina Annual Conference. Part of our work is advocating for responsible gun ownership to help decrease gun violence in our communities.

The video showcases a recent advocacy event where we worked with partner non-profits to urge North Carolina legislators to maintain existing common-sense gun laws. This work aligns with our United Methodist Social Principles and is addressed in the 2024 UMC Book of Resolutions, “Our Call to End Gun Violence” #3212.
