Fall Kickoff for the Harbor District Creation Care Team

As we anticipate the the air cooling and the leaves beginning to turn, the Harbor District Creation Care Team is gearing up for an exciting fall season. We invite you to join us for our Fall Kickoff Potluck on October 3rd at 6:00 PM, at Wesley Memorial 1401 College Rd, Wilmington, where we will come together in fellowship and plan for a greener future.

This gathering will be more than just a meal—it’s an opportunity to collaborate on important initiatives that will help our churches become more environmentally conscious. Whether you’re passionate about reducing waste, conserving energy, or protecting our local ecosystems, there’s a place for you in this work.

During our time together, we will discuss ways to help churches in our district become more sustainable. We’ll share ideas on how to create and support Creation Care Teams within congregations, ensuring that each church has the tools and resources needed to make a positive impact. Additionally, we’ll explore ways to better share resources, from educational materials to hands-on projects, so that every church, regardless of size or budget, can contribute to the care of God’s creation.

The potluck will also be a great chance to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about Creation Care. Bring your favorite dish and an open heart as we brainstorm, plan, and pray for the future of our district’s environmental efforts.
