Rev. Betty Ann Buckley
Rev. Betty Ann Buckley is a Deacon in Full Connection in the NC Conference serving in extension ministry. She serves as Director of Operations for Alpha Ministries, where she works with churches, seminaries, and conferences to plan spiritual pilgrimages around the world, mainly to Israel and Palestine, Greece, and the United Kingdom.
Alpha Ministries
Alpha Ministries is located in Raleigh, NC, but they work with folks from all over the United States. A good number of the churches and conferences they work with are United Methodist, but they also work with other denominations, especially on Church Heritage programs.
A Disciple Making Ministry
The pilgrimages are typically destinations related to the Scriptures and Church Heritage and lend themselves to deepening our faith and enriching our understanding of our DNA (as Christians, United Methodists, etc…). Rev. Buckley also hopes that, especially in Palestine and Israel, they are part of the peace process as they give a glimpse into life not shown on television.
