About UMAPS
United Methodist Advocates for Public Schools (UMAPS) is a statewide initiative of The United Methodist Church, formed to advocate for public education throughout North Carolina.
Mission
Our mission is to educate congregations about public education, advocate for public education, and mobilize congregations to become actively engaged with public schools.
Vision
UMAPS is a highly effective advocacy organization that mobilizes congregations to advocate for public education.

Educate
Educate congregations about the needs of public education in North Carolina.
Advocate
Advocate for public education by using advocacy strategies created by UMAPS and every UMC congregation in North Carolina.
Mobilize
Mobilize every congregation and UMC member to be engaged with public schools to improve them.
