Congregations for Children (C4C) is pleased to announce the recipients of its Summer Literacy Program Grants. These grants were awarded to NCCUMC churches that planned summer programs for low-income children to remediate and reinforce literacy skills and combat summer learning loss.
Nine churches within our conference applied for supplemental funding for their programs and, together, earned almost $20,000 to support these important ministries. We congratulate them, and we look forward to reading about their experiences so that other churches might be inspired to implement their own summer literacy programs in 2023.
