Out of commitment to the well-being of our clergy, The Bishop and Cabinet are declaring June 28 – July 5, 2022, as Transition Week in the NC Conference. Clergy receiving new appointments will move on June 28 and have their first Sunday in a new pulpit on July 10, with a guest preaching at the July 3 service. The outgoing pastor will partner with their present S/PPRC to identify pulpit supply and pastoral coverage for that week. This week expands the time that all clergy have to transition themselves, their family, and their belongings. A list of resources for July 3 is forthcoming, so watch for more details. In the meantime, if you anticipate moving to a new appointment this summer, mark your calendars for Transition Week.
