Bishop Ward proclaims June 30 as Jerry Bryan Day to honor Jerry for 25 years of service as the Conference Secretary. Jerry announced his retirement from this position during Annual Conference.

Tomorrow, we celebrate one of God’s servants among us. Tomorrow, June 30, we proclaim Jerry Bryan Day in the North Carolina Annual Conference.
Jerry Bryan is to us a friend, a colleague, pastor, a beloved leader, a mentor in ministry. He is a loving, compassionate, joyful servant of Jesus Christ. We thank you Jerry for your service as Conference Secretary. We elected you for two quadrennia under the leadership of Bishop Edwards, We elected you for two quadrennia under the leadership of Bishop Gwinn, and we elected you for two quadrennia as I was privileged to serve as the bishop here in North Carolina. And then you gave us one more year during the pandemic.
We, in the North Carolina Annual Conference, love you Jerry Bryan. We salute you and tomorrow, we will send messages to you by all the means that we have to let you know of our high esteem for your ministry and our love for you. May the days ahead abound in joy for you, Jerry Bryan.
