We have made important updates to our Pastor Lookup tool to better protect the privacy of our clergy across the NC Conference. Previously, a pastor’s information was displayed by default, with the option to opt out. Going forward, all clergy are opted out by default, and your information will only appear in the directory if you choose to share it.

You now have direct control over what appears in your listing. In your profile settings in the Online Data Collection System, under the Contact tab, you can choose which personal details to display, or show your church’s information in place of your own. We encourage you to log in and review your preferences so your listing reflects exactly what you are comfortable sharing.

We have also recently updated our Privacy Policy. The revised policy features clearer, more streamlined language and includes a new Data Share Agreement that formalizes how personal information may be shared with Related by Faith institutions within The United Methodist Church, including Conference boards, agencies, committees, district offices, local churches, and entities that participate in the Board of Institutions.
