Trudy Artis & Kathy Duncan

We celebrate and honor Trudy Artis and Kathy Duncan, who will be retiring this year.

Trudy Artis, District Office

Trudy Artis

Trudy Artis will retire from her role as District Office Receptionist and Assistant, effective March 31, 2026. Trudy began her service with the conference on August 26, 2013, and has been a faithful and welcoming presence in the District Office. She has always been ready to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or share a funny story that brightens your day.

“I am deeply grateful for the many ways Trudy has helped guide the work of the District Office and for the many individuals she has assisted over the years,” said Lou Jennings, Director of District Administration. “Her care, dedication, and faithfulness have made a lasting impression on us all.”

Kathy Duncan, Connectional Ministries

Kathy Duncan

Kathy Duncan will retire from her role as Administrative Assistant for Peace Building & Outreach Ministry, effective June 30, 2026. Kathy began her service with the Conference on February 9, 2009, and after nearly seventeen years of faithful and dedicated work, she has discerned this next chapter of retirement.

“Throughout her tenure, Kathy has been an integral part of the Connectional Ministries staff, providing consistent and thoughtful resourcing for the Peace Building and Outreach Team and the Board of Missions,” said Ismael Ruiz-Millán, Executive Director of Connectional Ministries. “Her steady presence, deep institutional knowledge, and commitment to supporting the Church’s mission have shaped this work in ways that will continue to bear fruit well beyond her time with us.”

We are now accepting applications for the Administrative Assistant for Peace Building & Outreach Ministry position. Visit nccumc.org/employment to learn more and apply.
