Feel free to adapt this #BeUMC content calendar template as needed for your church or ministry. Here are a few ways you can participate in #BeUMC: 

Week 1: Theme Introduction

Introduce the theme in your church service and share one of the stories from clergy or laity in the NC Conference in your service, in small groups, on social media, or church website. 

No internet or A/V capabilities in your facility?

• Download the audio or video on your phone, tablet, or computer. Play it from the device for your gathering.
• Share quotes from the videos in your preaching or teaching.

Share the monthly graphics on your church’s website and social media. Include the hashtags #BeUMC and #nccumc.

Week 2: Sermon

Use the preaching resources or develop your own sermon series around the #BeUMC core values. 

Share a prayer centered on the monthly theme in your service, newsletter, or social media. 

Select an advance special for an offering throughout the month. 

Week 3: Testimonial 

Have someone in your congregation share why they are United Methodist with your church or ministry. 

Post a quote from their testimonial on social media.

Week 4: Studies

Introduce study resources in your small groups, Bible studies, or youth groups centered on the monthly theme.

Encourage others to share why they are United Methodist on social media.
