Do you feel a spark of possibility for a Fresh Expression of Church—something outside the walls, uniquely shaped for your community? Whether your imagination leans toward a House Church, Recovery Church, Arts Church, Outdoors Church, Recreation Church, or another creative gathering, this 2.5-hour workshopping session will help you move from dream to first steps.
Each session is a guided incubator designed to:
Clarify your context and audience – Who are you called to? Where are relationships already forming?
Shape a mission that makes sense on the ground – How does the gospel speak uniquely into this space?
Learn from leaders in the field – Hear real stories, best practices, and honest lessons from those already leading similar Fresh Expressions.
Discern next steps and take action – Develop a simple, Spirit-led plan for getting started in your community.
Whether you’re dreaming of a coffee shop gathering, a trail-based worship circle, or a living room filled with neighbors sharing life and faith, these sessions will help you name it, shape it, and start it.

This Month’s Topic: College Students Fresh Expression w/ Michael Glazier
You may be noticing that many college students are spiritually curious—but wary of anything that feels packaged, performative, or disconnected from real life. They’re searching for belonging, purpose, authenticity, and community in the middle of stress, transition, loneliness, and big questions about who they are becoming. And maybe you’ve wondered whether God might be inviting your church to cultivate spaces of connection and spiritual exploration alongside students in ways that feel more relational, creative, and rooted in everyday life than traditional campus ministry models alone.
The College Fresh Expressions Incubator will help you imagine new forms of community with and among college students—spaces shaped around shared meals, creativity, service, conversation, third places, common interests, and the rhythms of campus life. Together, we’ll explore how faith can emerge naturally through relationships, presence, and meaningful connection in the places students already gather.
